Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Think Psychology provides high quality, evidence based, psychological therapy for a range of emotional and practical difficulties, including stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. The main therapeutic approach we use is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which is the approach with the best evidence for effectively treating the most common mental health difficulties. All of our staff are accredited as CBT therapists by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), thus ensuring that we maintain the highest standards in the care and treatment that we offer.

We have many years’ experience of working with people experiencing emotional distress and a range of mental health difficulties. We prefer to adopt a collaborative approach with people we work with, in order to determine whether a talking therapy, such as CBT, might be helpful, and if so, what values and goals are important for the person to fulfil.

We have experience in offering CBT and other talking therapies to people experiencing a wide range of difficulties.  Some of the issues we have worked with include:

Sessions at Barefoot Birmingham are available in person on a 1:1 basis. We can also offer 1:1 CBT online via video call services including Skype and FaceTime.
