Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust

"Think Psychology was commissioned to provide clinical supervision to a group of High Intensity CBT therapists working for Black Country Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. The four therapists comprised the team that provided the CBT service to people in the West Bromwich area. In order to meet their on-going accreditation requirements with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP), the team needed clinical supervision to be provided by a more senior and experienced BABCP accredited CBT therapist, and no-one within the service met those criteria at that time. The contract was for one year, and group supervision was arranged on a monthly basis over 12 sessions. Feedback on the nature and quality of the supervision provided was very positive. The service was eventually able to recruit a supervisor from within the organisation and the responsibility for supervising the therapists was handed back."
